AL is growing - Welcome Kristen Lewis!

2025 has brought so much growth for Alderwood Legal, PC.  In January, Brenda Winikka joined as a partner and Jeanine Brittell joined as a paralegal and now, we are honored to share that Kristen Lewis has joined us as our Senior Attorney.

Kristen’s legal roots are in dependency law where she represented children who had experienced abuse and neglect.  Prior to joining Alderwood Law, Kristen was the program and legal director for a Portland based non-profit focusing on advocacy for youth involved in the foster care system.  Her greatest strength as an attorney is her ability to get to know her clients, deeply empathize with their circumstances, and tailor her representation to their unique needs.

With Kristen’s addition to the team, we will be increasing our work in special education (Attorney Bacon previously had to cut back this area of her practice with the growth of the family law practice). 

We will also be expanding our practice to include representation of children in family law cases. 

Alderwood continues to cover all family law matters (mediation, collaborative law, litigation, and consulting); protective proceeding matters (guardianships, supportive decision making, contested guardianships, and conservatorships).
